I know I brag on him a lot, but Josh is a really good kiteboarder! Today I watched him and he is getting so good at turns and jumping waves. I really enjoy watching him fly on the water....hope you do too bc here's some pictures of him in action!!!!!!!!

It might be somewhat of an injustice to this artist to post this online because the quality is not good. But this was a painting that we saw in New York and is one of Steven's favorite pieces. It is such an intriguing picture and we were all curious as to what the story behind the painting was, so I did a little research on it. I wanted to share it with everybody. Very interesting and the answer to some of our questions.

Generation Y

Learning is a life long journey! It's been 8 months of learning for me at Mast Academy. Since it's the end of the year, I thought I would journal about the inspiration I've been given by so many of these kids. When I came into this, I had no idea the education I would get concerning this generation. They have a pretty awesome school here, that I feel I was blessed to be a part of for a short time.

MAST stands for Maritime And Science Technology. They take such courses as marine science, oceanography, solar energy, rowing, windsurfing, wood shop, swimming, web design, environmental writing...the list goes on. The courses offered here are mostly AP and these kids have amazing talent and creativity.

But if you don't pay attention, they will whiz right by you...this generation is fast about everything they do. They don't know life before cell phones, ipods, myspace, self-checkouts, the Internet....I just have realized how much has changed since I've left HS, and have basically been forced into another world I didn't know existed?? (if that makes any sense)
It has taught me to get out there....continue learning, and learn something new......don't become complacent, no matter where you are. There's so much out there to discover....

New York

What an amazing weekend!!! New York city gets better to me every time I go, and it's never the same. No Times Square or Monuments on this go round....it was all about fun and great little dive places only true New Yorkers can take you. Shelly and Steven made this trip so much fun. They took us to so many cool places! We left this trip feeling very tired, all the while wanting to do it all over again right then.

Panna II...the most fun you could possibly have eating Indian food - this place was something you must see to believe! They had this crazy music playing and any kid of christmas light you could imagine hung to cover the entire ceiling and windows!! It was SO fun - thanks Steven!

Stemmed from their Italian origin, Dad and his 3 brothers have started a tradition of bocce ball playing. Bocce is an Italian game played indoors and out. Our Popsi would be so proud!

Ormond Beach

We drove up to Ormond Beach this weekend. We just go from one beach to another it seems! There's always great weather, we can't help it. The guys were so funny all day. Ryan is so goofy and we always have fun with them. Missy and I just laughed and relaxed on the beach for about 6 hours. When they got tired from kiteboarding, they hopped on their surfboards...total beach boys!
