a good day.....and good-night!
Our first ever paintings...
If you'll notice....Luke used his finger to paint, and Isabel meticulously painted her piece for 20 minutes using only a brush. THey were so proud!
GOod night hugs, after watching Dora, dora, dora the explorer!!!!!

In all my beauty at the end of the day, (no make-up, looking quite tired, daddy's out of town...)
I asked the babies to hug each other, so i could take a picture and send it to Daddy to say night-night.......
instead they reached over and hugged me, and we had a hug party!!!
Have you hugged your Mom lately or given someone a hug that needed one? I love hugs. I dont know why...i just think they are so GOOD for us.

broken hearted for these..
I would like to ask for your prayers today for my uncle and his wife. She was 6 and a half months pregnant with their first child, and they lost their baby boy today. I'm not sure how to begin explaining and not even sure this holds any understanding, but I ask for prayers for their family.
I don't normally share such personal things, but they are in deep need of prayers from believers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Life is made up of innumerous joy sprinkled with tragedy. One makes your appreciation of the other greater, even though you can’t recognize it at the time...."my aunt B'Donna"

5 little cuties sitting on a bench : )
I'm waiting for the babies to wake up! Josh's khaki's are starched for the week, dish washer empty, pasta salad made for this evening, laundry folded for the time being (ha!), and I just realized I am getting a sore throat! But....thought I would post this cute picture of the kids from the forth of July weekend. This was the Monday morning we were leaving to head back home from my parents....so unfortunately they are not in their cute red/white/blue attire! But thought it was a sweet one.
Well, I have not been able to find a cute blog background lately! It's so frustrating! I know, who cares right? Well...this one I've had before and i like it, so I'm keeping it for now!
Hope everyone's having a great Monday! We're off for a fried chicken picnic on the bay this evening! Enjoy your week : )
I am enjoying this peace and quiet with a cup of lady grey with honey and cream.......ahhhh bliss!!! Ok..maybe they can sleep a little longer that is fine with me.....
Happy Birthday, DAD!
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Birthday Dad/Pops!
In a word, my Dad is: FUN
Always the life of the party, always planning fun adventures for us, he is an extraordinary person, loving husband, and wonderful father,
and our family would not have half the joy in life that we do without
him! His outlook and attitude on life is to live it to the fullest, making the most of each day, and always doing it so selflessly. I believe most of his joy and love for us comes from true happiness within. I am so thankful that my children get to experience him, and be nurtured by his goodness. I love that we get to share this day with you Dad!
Thank you for bringing so much love and true joy to this world!
And here's a fun video of him showing Luke some of his silliness at 5 months old....

Sew guess what?

I sewed a panty bag!
Well, I'm not my Mother, and I will never be! She is the most talented seamstress I know and has incredible abilities to create the most lovely art with the use of fabric. I LOVE watching her work and seeing what she creates. It comes naturally to her, and it is a gift. I was lucky enough to have been given her old sewing machine, when she got her super duper new delux digital one this year, so I've been slowly practicing my skills....and will continue to practice, practice, practice. She was over the other day, and helped me make this little panty bag. It was quite simple, but it took her showing me those simple steps that would have taken a whole day to read in a book! These make cute gifts I think, and everyone can use a bag, right!?
Some great tips she gave me in one little lesson:
Much of the enjoyment of sewing is having good materials and working with quality fabric
Always invest in a good pair of scissors
Enough work space is key (large table, lots of room, proper tools)
Enjoy what you sew and who you are sewing for, or else it becomes meaningless
Thanks for sharing your time and gifts with me Mom!
Stay tuned to see what's next........think I'll try a pillow to spice up my living room!
ahhh fresh!!
Fresh local produce, on the cheap!!! I like it.....

This afternoon we ventured to the local farmers outdoor market in Fairhope. It's each Thursday through July, and I will be going back! Got a few items this time to try, but will be getting more next week! THose blueberries are SWEET GOODNESS, the watermelon will be enjoyed this weekend, and the Baldwin county honey was bottled on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...
Be encouraged!
Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.
Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.
Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.
Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.
Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I BELIEVE......
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
