Spain's deliciousness....

Josh made Gazpacho soup for us last evening........

This was so pretty, I just had to take a picture!!  This soup originated in Spain, and is not only fabulous looking and tasting, but what's in it, is incredible.  It is completely raw and so delicious.  You can find a recipe for it anywhere, and I would highly suggest trying it today!  Neither of us had ever tried it, and now we love it. 

You only need a little portion.  I had it again for lunch today with some olive oil and cracked pepper triscuits, topped with mozarella ( i suggest fresh, but I used packaged) and fresh basil.  I think it would be delicious with some great italian breads or a delicious warm sandwich...

The good life...

So this is what I call the good life......

Having a wonderful day with my sister...making lunch together for the kids...having Ava at our home for the afternoon and making brownies with her and reading her books while the babies napped....seeing Clay come in our door after his school day.....and watching Olivia cheer as she sees Luke and Isabel in her driveway!

They are officially moved in...and still in the works of unpacking, box by box...

but, making progress!  Kristen is unbelievable - I can't believe her attitude and 

energy she sustains for her kids.  

As Kristen and I stood together in her kitchen making lunch, we just kept saying how thankful we are to be together and to God for bringing the children together.   THey will actually know one another growing up.  

I am so thankful for my sister and her family!

I am also thankful for my other dear sister, KARA!!  She's home...she's really, really home!

It feels SO good to have her home.  She is so sweet!  When I saw her, it just felt like part of my heart came back.  Kara is such a special one!  She is here for another week before she goes to NY for her big new job!  We are so proud of you, Kara Ann

Welcome to Alabama everyone!!!!!!

A Visit from California!

My PRECIOUS friend, Kelly, whom I have known since the 7th grade came to see us on Monday evening!!!!!  She and her family were on their way to the beach, so we got a visit from her, her husband, and two boys.   Here's the babies waiting on their friends to arrive....I told them to sit down and smile and look what they did?!!!!  They really do obey me very well at this point, and it is so sweet to watch them smile at me and know they are doing what I ask........

We always have such a nice time with them, and they make our visits and traveling with the twins virtually painless!  We are a little tired from our trip, but we don't mind because it's all worth it.  The babies had so much fun playing in the yard and getting into Ruthie and Papa's house.  The first thing they did when we got there was run around their house laughing and exploring.  They were so excited they didnt go to bed each night until around 9 o clock.  It was just fun!

We go to the park a lot these days...so here's the twins enjoying a day at the park by our house with their friend Maribel. 

LOVE these girls!!

I got to have a girls weekend!!!!  These are two of my very best friends from HS, Wendy and Holley.  We all met up in Birmingham and had the best time.  I have not laughed so much in years.  They are SO FUNNY!!  We did a fun painting at a neat art gallery called Sip n Strokes, where you paint your own piece by the instructors directions and everyone's turns out a little different.  This is SO FUN and I am dying to do it again.    Thanks girls for a fabulous weekend!!!
