Bunny's walking!!

Here's big little girl walking today!  This morning we went to the Little gym, and while we were there I noticed she was letting go of my hand trying to walk.  So when I got home, here's what she did.  You can tell she isn't proud of herself!!! :)

Happy Birthday, dear Luke and Isabel

Today, my little twinky babies turned one year old! I am overjoyed to have two healthy, happy babies, but can't help but feel a little tear welling up in my eye at the year that has passed.  We have so many happy memories of this year, and just so much emotion.   They have brought an unbelievable level of happiness into our home that makes my heart swell every day!

They had SO much fun and excitement over the weekend and today.  We started the fun off by celebrating Clay's 7th bday on Thursday night, then enjoyed all our cousins, aunts, uncles, and family that came down to celebrate at our home on Saturday.  It was a BEAUTIFUL day, so we took the party outside and just enjoyed the day.  Luke and Isabel really loved playing with all their cousins, and it was just so so special having everyone together!  All the children were so sweet to the babies, and they all got along so good!  They are enjoying all their fun new toys and are happy to be ONE!

Thank you to all our family for enriching our lives with your special love for Isabel and Luke.

Here is an assortment of pictures from the weekend and today.

10 days until the twins are 1!

I am not a fan of posting myself on my own blog - and when these pictures were
taken, i was not a fan of them either because it was 3 days after giving birth to twins, so i wasnt feeling my prettiest, but now, i treasure
these pictures so much.  Thanks to Shelly for making me take them.

And if you read my blog, its no wonder if I like taking pictures.  But, we can't ever have these moments back, so take pictures of your newborns a lot!!!  They grow all too fast.

HAPPY Spring!

I am HAPPY to tell you...

"My other tear duct has OPENED"

For all of you who have gifted us with your prayers for Isabel's eye,  I wanted to share with you the wonderful news!  Yesterday morning, Isabel woke up and there was no drainage from her eye.  From the moment I looked at her, I could tell it was different.  The swelling around her eye had come down.  It has been over 48 hrs and this morning, it looked even better.  I keep looking for it to be watering, but it continues to be clear.  So, at this point it looks like she will not need surgery.   I do believe that God answered the prayer of our hearts!!!!!  Thank you SO much for all of you who prayed.   I am thankful to him for increasing my faith, and for this blessing and gift.

The Lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning.   Lamentations 3: 22-23

Surprise!  It's Luke and Isabel...

Nashville

This is Josh doing a lap down and back in the un-heated pool, while snowing!!!!!!  Read below....

Olivia turned 1 over the weekend, so we packed up the twins and went to Nashville!!! She is such a SWEEEEET girl!!  We had a lot of fun just being with family.  LOTS of memories were made.   We got to hang out with some old friends, do some shopping(while Mom and Dad took all five grandkids in the suburban out to my grandmothers house 45 minutes away....3 babies under 1, a 6 year old and a 4 year old.  I told them they were crazy - but they love it), and it even snowed while we were there!!!!!  It snowed on the day Olivia was born one year ago, and the doctor called her "snow white" because of her full head of dark hair and that it was snowing - so we still call her that.
Here's the better half of pictures i took. Hope you don't mind the somewhat obnoxious slideshow. Happy B-day Liv!

Lastly, the picture of Josh above is from the guys first annual "polar bear contest" - created by none other than my Dad!  He has always been and always will be the biggest and funnest party animal I know!

Time ticks too fast...

I cannot believe that a year can go by so fast.  I know we always say how time flies - but my how time flies even faster as a parent!  And it's not just your precious time, it belongs to your babies too.  As we realize it, we look back and hope and pray that it was spent well.
As I approach these next few weeks, thinking about the twins first birthday, and trying to plan their party, I have so much happy emotions for the last year of my life.  I feel as though I could not have had time better spent than to take care of my two babies every day for almost a full year.   They are the absolute JOY of my life and getting to be their Mom makes me feel like the luckiest person in the universe!!  But just when you think your job is easy - look around you, it's that way b/c of the people that surround you.  I have SO many of those people!!!!
Without a doubt, this year has been the most humbling, happiest, busiest, challenging-est, tiring-est, and most beautiful year of my life!!!  Josh and I
feel like we should start celebrating their birthday now, because we have so much to celebrate about!
So..this was kind of me just talking/typing....and feeling sentimental :)!!

2 days before the twins arrived....

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I BELIEVE......

I BELIEVE......
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
