My Great Grandmother

Hi everyone! I wanted to blog tonight on my great gma, Virginia VanHook. She is 98 years old. She still lives in her own home. While we were in Nashville over Thanksgiving, she fell inside her home. They thought she had a stroke, but she did not. My Mom and Aunt have been taking turns staying with her ever since Sunday. They stay with her at night, then get her up and help her dress and make sure she is ok in the mornings. Because of the fall she has been unable to walk on her own. We went by to see her Sunday before we left Nashville, and she seemed so tired. Please say a prayer for her if you would. She is such a strong person, but age is catching up with her, and she's beginning to get tired. I pray that she is not in too much pain. She is a wonderful person, and has done so much for my Mom. I'm thankful for the longevity of her life and admire her strong spirit.

Here is a picture of her when she came to visit us in Mississippi in early October.

A and B Are So Cute!!

They're a BOY and a GIRL!!!!! Josh and I found out last Friday that we'll be the proud parents of dizygotic twins, officially. We have been calling them A and B because that's how the doctor identifies them - but we are anxious to pick names for them. We could not be happier to be having twins, and each time we go to the doctor it just becomes more and more real and special. The baby boy is considered baby A, so it looks like he will be firstborn, and baby b is the girl, who is laying above her big brother. The doctor explains it as them lying in bunk beds inside me. Anyway - I could go on and on about them. Most importantly they are doing well and growing right on schedule. WE ARE SO THANKFUL!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! It's Wednesday night before Turkey day and Josh and Dad will be here any minute....Mom, Kara, Kristen and I have been baking all week and I am tired!! That sounds so pitiful - but it's true. Now I'm ready to relax and eat. We will be looking for Shelly and Steven in the morning at the Macy's parade. They are celebrating in New York this year. They'll be home for CHristmas - but we are glad they have each other!!

Twin update

As for a twin update - Josh and I felt 3 huge kicks last night. They were huge! Up until this point I thought I had felt movement, but I guess I had not b/c there had never been a feeling like this. I had just eaten dinner (taco salad) and I laid back on the couch real far down, and right then a huge kick on my right side. The one on the right moves a lot. I'm going to ask the doctor next time we go, exactly where they are and which is which. I believe baby A is the lower one, and will be born first. She told us last time, but it wasnt clear which she said A or B is lower. We are all doing well - anxious to find out what they are so we can start shopping for them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVA!!!!!!

Josh traveled this week to Panama City for work, and I was so lucky to get to go with him!! We had gorgeous weather, and I have never quite seen Seaside beach SO calm and clear. There wasnt many people there, and it was quite hot. I had to share these pictures!!!! One of my fav. things we did was have breakfast at The Hibiscus, the cutest little bed and breakfast! I am in love with this place. Josh introduced me to it one year when we were in Seaside. They have such a neat thing going there. We also went to Alys beach, a new development near Rosemary beach. It is SO cool - reminds us so much of Miami. But this designer is really amazing - beautiful place to see!! Enjoy these pictures.

ATLANTA!!!

I love this picture of Josh, Nicholas, and David. What a fun weekend in Atlanta!!!!! It's so pretty there this time of year - we always have such a nice time when we go.

2 days before the twins arrived....

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I BELIEVE......

I BELIEVE......
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
