New Orleans

A few weeks ago we took a day trip to New Orleans. We originally went to go to Cafe du mon for a cafe au lait and beignets- but ended up not even going there. Kara said we werent missing out, that it was basically funnel cakes and powdered sugar. But, I LOVE powdered sugar. Oh well - we'll go back sometime I'm sure. New Orleans is dirty! but so interesting. Because of Katrina it will never be the same, but there were tons of people there. The people there are just happy as can be and the locals are really nice. We saw the most beautiful church, where Harry Connick jr was married - but i cant get those pictures to download. Here's two from Pat O' Briens. Mom and Dad honeymooned in New Orleans, and this was one of their fav. restaurants.

Here are some fun pictures from about a month ago when we were in Nashville. I love Ava in her Elmo shirt. This was one day when we were hanging out at Kristens. I am cheezy - but I wanted to take the pictures of us together while we're pregnant at the same time. Kristen is about a month and a half ahead of me, but I'm sure before this is all over I'll be double her size!!
We found out last Wednesday that Kristen is having another girl!! They are very excited, and Clay is excited to have two little sisters.

Holy Smokes!

Yes...those were Josh's famous words when we recieved the news today that we are having twin babies!!!!!!! Josh and I went to the doctor today only to find out the most shocking news ever in our lives, that we are having twins. The day was just surreal, so exciting. To me, it feels like a dream. A million thoughts are running through my head each moment. Mostly, I feel happy, and very blessed with such a gift. In His perfect plan, he chose us to bring two of his children into this world at once. I keep thinking of all the things they will do together, they will spend most of their childhood doing everything with each other. I am not fearful, I have FULL confidence in the grace of God and his provision over everything in our lives.

So.....that being said....OH MY GOSH!!!! WE"RE HAVING TWO BABIES AT ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep on saying that to Josh. He is SO calm about it, and he was really happy, which made me feel good. I know he will keep me calm throughout this experience, bc I'm sure there will be moments.

I wasnt going to post a lot on the baby details, b/c I know not everyone cares about hearing all the details of pregnancy and all it entails. But well now I am. I hope this can be a good way of keeping everyone posted on our babies progress.

So I am exactly 12 and a half weeks along. My due date is still April 12th. We will find out in 6 weeks the sex of both babies. I'll keep you posted.

I had my parents take a picture of us today to document this day. One we'll never forget, the surprise and joy of our lives!!!!!!!

2 days before the twins arrived....

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I BELIEVE......

I BELIEVE......
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
