happy thanksgiving time!

i will miss this tree....it's been good to me....

These photos were taken on Tuesday.  We have had a very rainy, dreary week here, but with that moisture came lots of color in our trees.  It's quite pretty.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just 1 week from tomorrow we'll all be "stuffing" ourselves : )

Have you found some new recipes to try this season?
These are some yummy things I would love to enjoy over the holiday/s:

These in addition to the classic's of coarse!

more of colorado and wyoming..

This is something I loved about Wyoming. Wind farms. I had never actually seen one. Look very very closely where the grass meets the sky, and you will see hundreds of windmills. They are all along the drive from Denver
into Wyoming. Really neat.

Thought I'd share a few of the neat places we went while there,
and I would highly recommend.
Totally lucked out at this lunch eatery, The Kitchen {Next Door}
Went in because it looked neat from the outside, and it was fabulous!
Spiced Chickpea and Hummus plate..delicious.

An incredible home/kitchen store in Boulder,
Website is great, and can order from it too!

Just a beautiful day in Boulder. So glad we took the short drive to see this city.

Snooze in Denver
i did not take this picture.

Sweet Potato Pancakes. Worth the trip alone! oh my goodness....

Oh the places you'll go!!!

our {BIG} weekend!

Saturday was a BIG day!

Sweet, sweet birthday parties..

oh my, what a big Dora you are!

pretty holiday pic!

I realize i borrow pictures all the time from the internet - but i figure it's ok as long as i give credit where credit is due.
I couldn't help but think of our family {next year} when i saw this picture on the cover of Anthropologie's new catalog. This might be a photo shoot I'll re-create come next Christmas! Too bad there won't be an Anthropologie within a 200 mile radius of me any time in the near future. I figure that's a good thing. Anyway...so cute and really gets me in the mood for the holidays!!!!! It's going to be a crazy ride from here on out...but we are ready!
So very very much to be thankful for.

We're excited to see our Papa today!!

preschool days!

I couldnt stand it - I had to show you these!!!!

Why i put them in white????? I'll never know!

And those poses?? haha! - So sweet!! Josh saw these and asked them to re-create these poses, and they did. So funny!

Why do school pictures absolutely melt a moms heart??!!
They're like the worst and the best pictures all rolled into one!

Imagine if a really cool/artistic person came up with a business that made school photos actually really cute. Maybe this already exists...

I guess then they would be like any other pictures.

School pictures, gotta love em!

Wyoming..are you ready for the twinks??

Great and marvelous are thy works.
Revelation 15:3

For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.
10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you.

Well this is it -our big announcement!

The beginning of a journey like no other. A journey, we know, God has
planned long before we ever knew. We have accepted the opportunity to move to a new spot! I wonder how many spots will be on our map when we are finished in this short life. Sometimes I think adventure should have been Josh's middle name :) THis one was NOT in my GPS - for sure! It seems our time on the beautiful Emerald Coast is almost over, but never to be forgotten. THe memories of our children being born here, our first home, many lovely seasons of this earthly life have been spent here in South AL, and it will always hold a very near and dear place in our hearts for countless reasons. But many times, it is those off road detours where you find the most incredible experiences. So we are looking forward now, with an attitude of thankfulness to our families, and humility for what GOd has brought to us. Together, we have spent many nights, many weeks, which turned to many months in prayer, seeking God's direction for our family, and as this was not an easy decision, we have decided to move our family to Wyoming!

It's quite surreal for me to type that, as it is for you to read, i am
certain. It's taking a lot of courage to share this, but it's so important to share, because it is happening quickly, and I dont want you to miss this either. So, if you want to journey to Wyoming, stick around, I want to share it because it is truly a gorgeous place. But I'm afraid pictures just don't do it justice. I can't say that I always wanted to be a mountain girl, but hiking, biking, snow skiing, rafting, dare i say...camping! I could get used to that!
So stay with us! This may be a page turner.

So this is us, the night before we left...we drove to the top of the mountain and looked out over the city! Do we look scared, crazy, excited?
We were happy this night because i think this is the night we realized it was truly where we felt God was leading us...so we just enjoyed the moment.

We can't wait to bring our two little angels with us when we move sometime early next year,
as it will then become a real adventure!!!!

All GLORY and HONOR to Him who is worthy!

An update on my Mom..

She and my Dad will travel to Jackson on Monday to see a hand specialist who's son I graduated high school with! She will then most likely be having the surgery Tuesday morning.
What a blessing to be in the care of someone we know!!!

2 days before the twins arrived....

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
