A few weeks ago we took a day trip to New Orleans. We originally went to go to Cafe du mon for a cafe au lait and beignets- but ended up not even going there. Kara said we werent missing out, that it was basically funnel cakes and powdered sugar. But, I LOVE powdered sugar. Oh well - we'll go back sometime I'm sure. New Orleans is dirty! but so interesting. Because of Katrina it will never be the same, but there were tons of people there. The people there are just happy as can be and the locals are really nice. We saw the most beautiful church, where Harry Connick jr was married - but i cant get those pictures to download. Here's two from Pat O' Briens.
