On the road again..

We've returned tonight from our evacuation of Gustav!  What an ordeal.  Although we were not in the direct path of the storm, we thought it best to head east with the babies.  We were gone a little over 24 hours.  We made the best of it by going to the beach, almost to Panama City.  There was not one drop of rain where we were the entire time - until we left this afternoon.  The waves were huge this morning at 7 am and the wind was SO strong.  It was kind of neat to be on the coast and feel the power of the storm.  We're glad Gustav seemed to settle down a little once it came ashore, and are praying for the communities in it's path.  There is still so much work to be done on the coast of MS and LA even from Katrina.  I hope our country will once again realize the need and give in whatever resources they can.  Please keep the families affected in your prayers.

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
