Shelly came down from ny and got to stay a few extra days with us after Thanksgiving. This is the Japanese maple tree that bloomed the week of thanksgiving, and today - there are no leaves on it. It's no wonder to me now, why the former owners of our home kept on about the japanese maples when we bought our home. This tree was really pretty. The color was so vibrant and rich....so we took lots of pictures. I did not know of it's hidden beauty. You can see from the tree behind it, the color of ordinary trees in the winter here.
We spent a day at the mobile museum of art at an Albrecht Durur exhibit. The babies were SO good. Shelly studied his work at Savannah.
