the glass chapel

I wanted to share a place of beauty today for your Good Friday, that came to mind early this morning. I know most of my posts are about the twins, bc most of you view our blog to see them, but at times the Lord places something on my heart to share. This is the Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, AR. My family used to travel here each summer, and my parents always took us to visit this chapel. It is a chapel made completely of glass. And it is breathtaking! It has always had a special place in my heart, perhaps because of it's simple beauty and how it stands alone amongst beautiful woods. It came to my mind early this morning as I was thinking about the cross and beautiful places, and how what beauty awaits us in heaven someday.

Happy Easter to you and your family!

and from the hymn, Ah, Holy Jesus

Therefore, kind Jesus, since I cannot pay Thee,
I do adore Thee, and will ever pray Thee.
Think on Thy pity and Thy love unswerving,

Not my deserving.

Hi Kacie,

I've actually never been to that chapel even though i've lived here always. I need to go see it in person.

Thanks for your sweet comments. I think the problem is that, the comments don't show up immediately, but go to my email. Sorry. Thanks for your prayers!

2 days before the twins arrived....

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.
