What 2 and a quarter is like!!!
Well, busier than ever! And I can't believe it because I never would have dreamed it. I know each phase/stage of a child's life presents it's blessings, and it's challenges, but whew!!! This one is physically exhausting. These days, I think Josh and I are tired-er or as tired as those early days. WE get WAY more rest, but it's just so much more physical now! But also very fun because the twins can talk SO SO well! I am just so thankful when I tuck them into their cribs and see them laying there and how healthy and happy they seem, and how blessed we are. Just this morning, my Mom came over, and as we had just a simple morning playing and being together, she reminded me of how blessed I am to be a Christian Mother, and receive that blessing from God to stay home and nurture them each day. So I thought I would write a little about them. They change faster than I can keep up with, but it's been a while since I've really taken the time to share a little about their little growing selves.....Oh if I could only box them up and keep them this little forever! But I know God has a plan and it's perfect, and all we have to do is pray for his direction and follow it! I am thankful to know the Lord as a Mother, because without his sovereign strength, wisdom and love, I would not be the Mommy I want to be or wife I want to be.
I pray for all you Mommies out there who are at home with your children today. It is truly a high calling! May you feel the Lord's arms wrap around you today as you love and nurture your families, looking to Him for your strength and happy spirit! God bless you!
And now for the twinks update....
Luke these days......
A busy busy boy! SOme things he enjoys are being outside (any chance the door
opens, he runs to find his shoes and escape faster than we can catch him)
Loves his bike, and is very interested in bikes in general. He still loves big trucks and things that are loud and big.
Has a hearty appetite for life and for food. He enjoys most anything I give him. Loves orange juice, and is not a picky eater. His Dad loves to give him cereal and he loves eating it!
Luke has a naturally strong build. My Dad calls him a little Ox. He climbs on anything, everything, and anyone! He LOVES to be rough with anyone who will be rough with him. HE loves his Pops and Papa because they let him be rough. As soon as Pops comes through the door, he is head-butting him, ready for action! So cute! Our Luke is one happy, healthy boy with a spice for life that is so natural! He has a smile that's contagious...and we can't wait to see where life takes him and what adventures he'll go on! I love you Luke : )
Little Miss ISabel these days.....
LOVES to SWIM! She could live in the water. Adores wearing her swim gear, even if we're not at the pool. She wants to put her swimsuit on every day, weather we're swimming or not.
It's been so hot here that most days I just let her wear it around the house! It makes her happy, and that is fine by me! : )
She still loves princesses and baby dolls. Loves to push her baby stroller around, but wants no part of a baby in the stroller. She loves to feed her baby dolls and use her shopping cart.
Isabel is our pickier eater, but still eats well. She loves peanut butter, oranges, and pasta! She'll eat any form of pasta you put in front of her.
She is a sweet, gentle, loving child and has become much more outgoing in the past few months. She loves other children, and shares very well. She adores Luke and does everything he does.
She's just a blessing, and I love every minute of her!
