Hi there!!! Welcome to our new Wyoming home! :)
Let me show you around... :)
We'll take this slow. The kitchen first, which still needs knobs,
curtains, and such...but I didnt want to keep you waiting. Ha!!
So, come on in...I'm just having some tea!
First, I wanted to show you a few of my saving graces thus far.... this great park for the kids with a view of the mountain, one block down from our house!
Baby Lips, by Mabelline. $3.99 people! And it is terrific!
So, here is our kitchen in the condition of which we purchased the home.
You see, my Mom has always told me you have to have a "vision" when looking at homes....of what can be. So this is what we did. I never saw the home in person, but what we found when looking for homes here, was that the new ones were way out of budget for us and lacked character. So we chose to take an older home and put our "modern" touches to it.
So do you think this one needs to be welcomed to this century?????!!
And this is the kitchen yesterday. We still lack knobs and a few touches of color, but we added light colors, much more our taste. For the cabinets, we used Benjamin Moore's, Jogging Path.
For the walls, we used Behr's, Pot O Cream. We color matched using Sherwin Williams paint.
I decided to remove the plantation shutters in the kitchen b/c they were quite bulky and dark.
I will add a curtain at some point.
Another angle before..
The kitchen sink, + a banana :) No before on this one....but you can sort of see from the first picture above.
I look forward to showing you the rest soon! I will make it my goal to show you a new area each month. I love love to blog, but I have so many more things right now that my priorities rest with. They are about 3 ft tall!! :)
