Eliza June
3 weeks today!
Eliza June arrived...
October 8th
2:28 a.m.
19 1/2 in.
7 pounds, 7 ounces
She's an angel and we are SO relieved she is here finally safe and sound.
The birth story of little Miss E is for another post you won't want to miss.
Eliza is named "for" my Mother, who passed away a year ago this October. She used to ask me ..."When is little Elizabeth coming?"
(Her sweet way of asking when and if we would be having another baby)
I always dodged the question...never saying yes, never saying no.
But....
I think she knew.
She had a way of knowing. I believe it to be the living Holy Spirit inside of her, whom she trusted, understood, and listened to. Perhaps she had a dream, a feeling...call it what you may, but she had a way of knowing. I never thought much about her asking me this....and she did on more than one or two occasions.
All this time later....it turned out to be.... a girl...and indeed her little Elizabeth came.
My middle name is Elizabeth. The cousin name to Isabel, is Eliza. So although she does not have the same name as my Mom, I know this is the name she would have wanted her to have...a beautiful, feminine name, all her own, unique and beautiful, just like her Grandmother.
We brought Eliza home from the hospital at 2 days old. My sweet Daddy had come into town the day before she was born.. said he "had a feeling she might be born over the weekend"
Another provisional gift from God. My Dad was here, kids were all tucked in, we were all headed to bed, and Eliza decided to come.....early on a warm, rainy Sunday morning.
It rained the day she was born and for each day we were in the hospital. It was so wonderful!
My Aunt Pam was the first to visit her in the hospital early that morning. Then Luke, Isabel and Pops came around 10 a.m. and brought doughnuts and coffee :)
Then lots of family followed later in the day!!
It was truly a beautiful time.
Week one, Josh and I were here with Eliza, and our wonderful Ruthie came and took Luke and Isabel to Atlanta to enjoy their Fall break and some fun, while we adjusted to baby girl.
Week two, they returned, and Aunt Kristen came in and was AMAZING!!!
She did it all, and I recovered so much that week.
Next came the rest of the family...Aunt Shelly, Uncle Phil and Aunt Kara, Ava, Clay, Olivia and John Brian got to meet her.
We got a few extra days with Aunt Shelly which was SO special!! She took such sweet care of Luke and Isabel and loved so sweetly on Eliza.
Week three, we were on our own and have made big strides in our schedule and learning our new normal as a family of five. Headed into week four, and feeling completely blessed and in awe of our new life with our sweet girl.
Welcome Eliza June!

Baby # 3 means back to blogging for me!
HELLO!! It's been a l i t t l e while! Oops. I suppose I just realized I was at a time in life where I wanted to enjoy each moment with the kids and my husband and the places we journeyed to ourselves, instead of thinking about how I was going to blog about it. I have pictures of it all, but it would take an entire year to go back and blog it, so we'll just leave those memories to recall in photos without words. Maybe now and again, I will go back and share some neat memories. It's been a difficult year for our family and continues to be a new journey for us all as unfathomable loss collided with our family, and we will never be the same. I WILL blog about that, but perhaps not for a long time.
But I'm BAAAACK!
We are expecting our third child in October 2017! Now if that's not reason to blog, I don't know what is. This has me so excited to document and journey on this little GIRL'S every step, just as I did for the twins. I love looking back at them and seeing our moments together as they grew, life as a new Mom and sharing in the every day simplicity of life simply for us to look back and see and enjoy. I don't like sharing on Facebook too much anymore, but if you want to see us continue to grow, visit here or Instagram.
Lots of love and happy Summer! My favorite summer smell is freshly mowed grass.
This isn't even a recent picture of us, but its the only one currently saved to this computer so Hi from our family of four, soon to be FIVE, atop Vail Mountain in the Fall.
We are now Tennesseean's again and SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN THE SOUTH, but forever and gratefully changed by the amazing places that are WYOMING, COLORADO AND MONTANA!
Bye for now YALL!

8
Our 8 year olds!!
My poor blog is so sad. I miss it soo.
Blogging has changed a lot over the years, but i will not let it go! I have always enjoyed it, and the kids love looking back at it. Here's to attempting to get back at it!
A joint "EXTREME CHALLENGE" Birthday Party!
RAINBOWS AND BASEBALLS!
Isabel requested one of those rainbow cakes! GASP!
I got a quote for one from a bakery, and GASP again.
I decided to call on my old faithful friend Martha Stewart, and do it myself!
SUCCESS!!
She actually has a video of a gal on her show coming on to make it. I watched it as i made the cake, and it was quite simple, just time consuming.
Lukey boy requested a baseball cake "from the store"
I think next year he'll request i make his ;)
It tasted as good as it looks!!!
Their birthday celebration each year is so much fun!!
We are blessed and so happy to call these two wonderful kids our own.
Life is good year two in Denver. In one week from today, they will begin 3rd grade!
We are so excited to watch them grow this year. They will be in the same class again - another huge blessing!!

2 days before the twins arrived....
I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...
Be encouraged!
Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.
Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.
Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.
Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.
Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I BELIEVE......
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
