GREAT party!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!

At the top is a picture of my Dad and his
five grandkids on his 58th birthday!

It is so appropriate to have all his grandkids attend, because if you've ever met my Dad you know he is the biggest kid around!!!  Growing up in our family was always fun because it was always about us kids!  He makes everything more fun with his zest and youthful outlook on life.  As kids growing up, every summer, my Dad picked one day in late July/early August before school started back , and called it "Kids Day"  He would spend weeks planning this day.  It was sparked by the idea that my brother Steven gave him one day when he asked why there's not a kids day if there's a mothers day, fathers day, grandparents day and so on??  SO, this was the beginning of Kids Day! From the time we woke up, my Dad had planned an entire day of fun and games, everything from swimming to relay racing, to tye dying t-shirts. It was every kids dream. It is a tradition that WILL live on in our family always.  My Mom made it special for him today by planning a great party along with a fabulous lunch and chocolate pound cake!!!

Thanks Dad for being a constant beam of goodness in our family.  And bringing so much happiness and FUN to us always.  You inspire me and our entire family every day.
We love you,
Happy Birthday!

Kids day!!! How fun! I love their outfits! By the looks of it, the fishing game reminds me of the one on Pollyanna!! Your Dad is so great! See y'all soon!!

I am so thankful my Dad took this picture....to remind me what it felt like to hold two precious lives inside of me...

Be encouraged!

Lord fill my heart with Yours
that I may know Your will,
those things that I should act upon
and when you want me still.

Guard my mind from useless thoughts
that clutter, harm, confuse.
Create in me a closeness
that Your course I'll always choose.

Clear my hearing, teach me
to identify the lies,
that I may only hear the truth
of who I am in Christ.

Lord, satisfy and fill me
with Your Spirit from above,
that I may truly know the freedom
of Unfailing Love.

Then planted deeply in that love,
my heart in full surrender,
Lift the veil for all to see,
my life display Your splendor.
